| Week Seven snarry_ldws Drabbles are up! |
[02 Nov 2009|02:25pm] |

snarry_ldws
Week Seven drabbles are up! This time the topic is: Romance. The phrase is: 'disfavor, disfavoring, or disfavorable'. We're down to four drabbles this week, and still in the running are alisanne, joanwilder, la_dissonance, and literaryspell.
Go HERE to read and vote. Awww, c'mon, it's ROMANCE this week, and you know you wanna read them!
Like last week, anyone who correctly guesses which is mine will get a drabble of their pairing of choice. It's becoming easier to get a drabble from me, you realize, as the odds are now 1 in 4. (Reply to this entry; comments are screened.)

A/N: Thanks to jadzialove for beta reading, and congrats to literaryspell for her winning entry this week! Once again, accioslash guessed my entry correctly, so there'll be a Snarry drabble for her this week.
( Freefall )
This drabble was also written for Week Six's prompts, but I decided to submit 'Freefall' instead.
Title: The Conductor Rating: G Warnings: None Word Count: 300 Summary: Having someone believe in you is a powerful motivator.

It's time to Slip into Darkness with the Jim Byrnes Halloween Night Stream! The first set is kicking off with the Stones ('Sympathy for the Devil', of course!) No need to guess tonight's theme--it's all Supernatural. Complete with the weirdest Boris Karloff accent I've heard in a long time...
It's a mojo night on the shore...

| FIC REC: L is for Love |
[30 Oct 2009|10:49pm] |
Title: L is for Love Author: Scaranda Pairing: Snape/Surprise! Rating: PG-13 Warnings: None Summary: L is for Love, and Letters, and Lots of other things too. One shot of Halloween fluffy nonsense.
One of the best things about working the Sycophant Hex queues is that I occasionally come across a gem of a fic that I want to share with my f-list. This is a one-shot Snape, and the pairing is only revealed at the end. It's a woman, but the rating is low and there's nothing very specific. It centers around Snape at a Halloween masquerade party, where he becomes enamored of an invitee. What I like about this is Snape's obsession with the unknown woman, revealing a bit of his past, and present associations. Superb writing and characterization. And the reveal and conclusion are delicious.

| Peter Wingfield's Project Edan Marathon Project |
[25 Oct 2009|06:34pm] |
Congratulations to Peter Wingfield for meeting and exceeding his goal of raising $10,000 for the UNICEF 24,000-->0 project. Peter will run in the New York Marathon next week to help bring recognition to the cause, and plans to send some voice posts during the event (there are links to his funny and painful marathon training blogs from the UNICEF site.)
Congratulations also to the many PWFC and independent Peter Wingfield fans who contributed to reach the event goals, with a week still to go!

Free To a Good Home: I have a ticket to the The Boston Super Megafest, November 21 & 22. That Spike guy and Ray Park and a lot of other good fannish guests will be there--I can't go and am happy to mail the ticket to anyone in the Boston area who can use it!
Visiting: Spent a lovely day shopping for Halloween goodies with cruisedirector last week and acquired new bat earrings (really, can you have too many?) many other fun things!
Theater: Saw a local production of Much Ado About Nothing in the brand spanking new Performing Arts Center. We have a good little Shakespeare troupe but I think moving them uptown has priced their tickets out of my range, sadly enough.
Fic: Have finished writing accioslash's story for her much belated Live Long N Marry contribution! *collapses* Now just to get it typed up...*whimper* Fests: Also signed up to pinch hit for snarry_swap. No idea if I'll get called up but I felt like finishing my commitment to Accio merited some sort of celebration!
